PineCone Research

I was finally sent and invitation to join PineCone Research  this morning. So now I am a member of 3 online survey sites. Like writing articles for eHow, the more you have the better your chances are of making more money. I am now up to $ 26.00 at Opinion Outpost. I got a survey yesterday evening that was worth 45 points. Will I get rich doing surveys at home? I may not be able to pay my mortgage anytime soon, but making a little extra money that you can spend on a nice evening out with your spouse, or to put in the gas tank is always a help. Between my earnings at eHow and Bukisa, which is truly passive income, and now the survey sites, I am now earning close to $30 dollars a month.
We need to remember, that nothing comes to us for free. Daily I am receiving new followers on my Twitter account promising me incomes beyond my wildest dreams. My junk mail is filled with the same offers.
Yes you can make money on the internet, but it won't happen by magic and it won't happen by signing up with all of the "scam" sites promising quick riches with the click of the mouse.
Writing articles takes work, taking 20 minute surveys takes work, but I can promise you that it will also bring you money, real money that you will find deposited into your bank account from PayPal, or checks that magically appear in your mail box at home from time to time...

Opinion Outpost

I started doing surveys online for a company called   Opinion Outpost since October 2009. I have been very pleased with their site and the number of surveys they send to me,  39 in all since I first started. You don't always qualify for the surveys, which is to be expected. The companies they work with are usually looking for a specific person that fits their criteria, either in locality or in their field of work. Usually the surveys only take 20 minutes to complete and the average payout is 20 points. For 10 opinion points you are payed a dollar, so most surveys are worth 2 dollars. I have seen some that pay out 25 points and some as high as 40 points.
So far I have made 215 points which comes out to $21.50, which I can redeem either towards an Amazon gift card (which you get instantly via email) or I can request a check which will be mailed to my house. (which takes 3 to 4 weeks)
Opinion Outpost is free to join, and most of their surveys are interesting and thought provoking.
There are many other survey sites to be found on the internet,  PineCone Research https://www.pineconeresearch.com/about.HTM seems to be very elusive. I signed up for doing surveys with them many months ago and so far haven't heard anything from them.
I am just getting started with Synovate https://www.globalopinionpanels.com/home... I haven't done any surveys with them yet, but will let you know how it works out. They also do product reviews, sending you products to try in the mail and then you have to rate them. That sounds like it might be fun and a neat way to get introduced to new products coming out.
I will rate them when I learn more about them.  For now, Opinion Outpost gets 5*s for their surveys and customer service. It's a great way to make a few extra dollars while on the computer...

Nicole's Nickels

I have been working on many different ways to make money at home on the internet. Writing articles on eHow, monetizing my blogs with ads by Chitika, doing online surveys at Opinion Outpost, https://www.opinionoutpost.com/index.php All of these are generating a small amount of cash income for me. But I keep doing more research, trying to increase my passive income. I have been a Swagbucks follower for several months now and find it an exciting way to earn gift cards while searching the internet. To me that is a no brainer, after all, I am daily doing searches on the internet, why not take advantage of a site that will pay me for doing that. Now Swagbucks aren't actual cash, but you can trade them in for what I think is the best bargain on the site, free gift cards. They offer cards from sites like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, PayPal, ITunes, and so many others... http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-list&id=17 There are so many other ways though I am learning about how to increase your passive earning.Watching the You Tube video below is an inspirational experience for me, and I hope to my many other visitors to my site. Take the time to watch and learn how Nicole in Florida is making the most out of increasing her monthly cash inflow using resources she has discovered and is using on the internet. Stop by and visit her blog at
http://www.nicolesnickels.com/
If you haven't yet signed up for Swagbucks, visit my link on this page to take you to the sign up page...

Enjoy the video below as Nicole tells her story...

Happy Trails...Roy Rogers and Dale Evans

We have been making slide show for some time now; they make nice gifts for our family and
friends. We have been successful with some paid projects and hope to see that expand.
Anyway this is an example of a show we put together for one of my wife's friends who is
moving on to New Mexico and it is my first You Tube video posted on the Internet.

You may notice the Swagbuck widget on my blog now. After hearing about Swagbucks for a long time, I finally decided to check it out and sign up for it. I figured that I was doing searches on the Internet anyway, and Swagbucks uses Google and Ask search engines, what would be the difference if I used them instead of my usual Google home page on my computer. It took a little getting used to, but after awhile it seems normal to be using it for my searches.
You don't earn "Swagbucks" with every search, it seems that in the mornings you usually earn 1 for maybe your second or third search and sometimes two "Swagbucks"
Now this may seem silly, but you really do get chances to enter sweepstakes spending your hard earned searching bucks to buy entries, plus if you accumulate enough "Swagbucks" you can purchase gift cards to various stores, like Starbucks, Amazon, Lowes and more.
I am up to 13 "Swagbucks" bucks now, had more, but decided to spend 2 to enter the sweepstakes for the Barnes and Noble $100 gift card.
I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to open my mail and find a notice from them that I was the winner of the Barnes and Noble gift card, and after confirming they sent me the code and pin number for it.
Now how cool is that, no money outlay from my pocket and now I have a 100 dollars to spend at one of our favorite stores, Barnes and Noble. Just for doing what I do anyway, searching the Internet.
If you decide to try it for yourself, just click on the widget here which will take you to the Swagbucks signup page. You do get credit if others sign up using you as a reference and it is a way to quickly boost your earnings since for the first 100 swagbucks your friends earn they match it in your account.
Give it a try, now that I am 100 dollars richer I think it is the best way to search the Internet.

Oh yes... I was still a little skeptical about it but went to the Barnes and Noble site and entered the code and pin for the gift card.... balance is 100 dollars!! Time to go book shopping!

WIFI Radios the Voice of the World

Up until a few years ago, listening to broadcasts from countries around the world required a shortwave receiver and wires for antennas and even then you had to listen to music and talk fading in and out and the irritating pops and whistles while trying to find a station. Finding new stations was always an adventure, and it was mostly by luck that you could find a station you could actually listen to for maybe a half hour at the most.

With computers and the Internet a whole new world has become available to listeners around the world. Today there are more than 16,000 radio stations streaming live, 24/7 from exotic countries, from Albania to Zimbabwe. We can listen to these radio stations on our computers of course, but that can be a problem since most computers tend to be stationary in a home office, and not in our bedrooms, kitchens, and living rooms

The first step is to find a WIFI Radio. This is very easily done with a quick search on the internet. Two very good sources are,
C. Crane Company http://www.ccrane.com/radios/wifi-radios/ and
Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=WIFI+Radios&x=0&y=0

Amazon also has an excellent review site for any item you purchase, so after you pick a radio the interests you, take the time to read the reviews to give you a heads up on any problems or other things that can guide you to a more educated purchase. The price for a new radio will start at around 99 dollars. Not to bad considering this new radio will pick up the over 16,000 stations streaming over the Internet 24/7.

Once you have the radio in your home. Take time to read the instruction book so you can learn how to operate the radio and use it to its fullest potential. The radio will also come with a "quick start" guide which will bypass the more intricate instructions and bring you closer too quickly having the radio operational in your home.

You can set these radios up with a wired network using a Ethernet cable plugged directly into the back of the radio. This defeats the purpose I feel of having a WIFI radio which is very portable and usable in any room in your house where you can get a good WFI signal from your network. If you do hard wire it you will have the luxury of also being able to stream your song collection you have on your computer to the radio, but isn't that what MP3 Players for?

So we are going wireless... Following the instructions that came with your radio you will need to Scan for Networks. Once the radio finds your network it will ask for your password and once you sign in, you will be connected to your network.

If your WIFI network is encrypted for security, using either a WEP key or WPA key, you will have to know this key to access the network. The radio will ask you for this key which you enter into the radio. I was stuck at this step, but a quick search on the internet quickly solved the problem, just search "how to find the WEP key for a wireless router".
Typing http://192.168.1.1/ should bring you into your browsers address bar will bring you to your routers home page. You will have to enter your admin name and password to get into the settings for the router... once there, click on "wireless" and then "wireless security" and you will find the WEP codes there for your router. Once you have these codes, just input them according to your radio's instructions into the radio.

Even with the initial problem of locating my WEP key I quickly had my radio up and running with in 2 hours of finding it on my doorstep left by my friendly UPS man. After that a few more hours of playing with the controls and reading your instruction manual, you will soon learn how operate this WIFI radio and all the magic it will do.

Have fun exploring the world with this radio. The radio will give you the option of finding stations either by Location, (which country do you want to listen to?) or Genre, or by Presets where you can store your favorite stations so you don't have to search for them again.

  • Are you missing your homeland? Imagine having a clock radio that will wake you with local news and music from your home country, in your language.

  • Having a "Theme Party"? You can quickly find commercial free music to fit the theme and mood for your party.

  • Romantic evening planned? You can find the perfect mood setting music for that special evening.

  • If you have a whole house intercom and radio you can easily connect this radio to it using a simple FM transmitter. C. Crane has a very good one available in their catalog for 70 dollars. http://www.ccrane.com/radios/fm-transmitters/fm-transmitter.aspx or check their "orphans" I got one from them there for 50 dollars.

  • Best of all... It's FREE! No subscriptions required, unlike satellite radio providers such as XM or Sirius which will cost you from 10 to 17 dollars a month depending on which service package you choose.

  • C. Crane is an excellent company to deal with. They have a good print catalog and their customer service is great, both by email or by phone. Live people and real help and support.

    Don't be Afraid...

One of my biggest stumbling blocks in being successful on the Internet was the fear of being seen. There are all kinds of horror stories out there of bad things happening to others because the wrong person found them on the Internet, so I always tried to keep as low of a profile as I could when surfing the web. So now I am realizing, if I want to make money at home, I need to put myself out there front and center for all to see. Did Sam Walton get rich by hiding himself from the world? No, Sam Walton made his money from excellent management skills and by marketing his name and his stores. After starting with a Ben Franklin franchise in Rogers, Arkansas in 1940, Sam Walton became so successful that he opened his first Walmart in 1962. That venture was so successful that soon Walmarts were popping up all over America and by the 1980's their sales was well over a billion dollars and over 300 stores across America. Today the Walmart name continues to grow with stores in countries around the world. Sam Walton believed that "individuals don't win, teams do" Do you think Sam Walton could have created an empire so large that it continues on after his death in 1992 if he had been afraid of being seen?
So we need to learn to not be afraid, and put ourselves out there front and center so we can be seen.
eHow is not only a fun writing place where we can practice and hone our writing skills, it also is a good social network, with so many good people contributing their skills and knowledge.  Perhaps we need to think of ourselves as a team and not as individuals, and then maybe we can all benefit and be successful on eHow and in our other writing ventures.

Get Rich Quick Working From Home!!!!

Ok, we aren't really going to get rich quick but all of us are all trying to make money by writing articles. Staying in our comfortable homes, no commuting, cheaper car expenses, and a chance to have more time with our families. Writing articles seems to be the perfect way to bring us closer to that dream job of waking up and not having to go anywhere except to our computers, another day of creative writing. The biggest problem I see, is we can write all we want to, but if no one ever reads it, then it is all in vain.
There is so much competition on the Internet for "views", and writing articles is really like having your own business.  Now what business can survive with out some kind of marketing strategy?
Getting your articles noticed and read is a challenging thing.  Following the advice of others, I have started posting all of my articles onto StumbleUpon and Digg. Does this help us? Well StumbleUpon itself has over 8,000,000 users. That is a lot of people out there with time on their hands surfing the net, and I think having your articles out there for them to "stumble upon" is a good thing.
There are so many well written articles on eHow on how to get the views we all want and deserve, here are only a couple of them...

    http://www.ehow.com/how_4692954_website-search-engines-like-google.html
    http://www.ehow.com/how_5307705_advertise-articles-leaving-ehow-website.html
    http://www.ehow.com/how_4762893_market-articles-maximum-exposure.html

Some other ways to help market your articles is to add a signature to the bottom of your emails with a link to your eHow or other writing place.  Make use of the eHow widget and add it to your blog, facebook or other social networking sites you may use.
It's time for all of us, myself included, to start taking charge and learning about marketing ourselves if we want to have a successful Internet business.

    Market Yourself

After working with eHow for a little bit over a month now, I am learning about the benefits of marketing yourself on the Internet. This is something I never have thought about before, but am realizing that if you don't market yourself, no one else will do it for you. My other blog site, http://lifeinmagiccity.blogspot.com/ I have been mainly using for personal thoughts and keeping a journal of happenings in my life. I thought I should leave the ads off of it and go ahead and set up what I hope to be a marketing tool for our adventures in writing for fun and profit on the Internet. There are so many easy money sites on the Internet, some better than others. So far I am happy with eHow though I know there are a lot of others out there that may disagree with me. But who do you choose to write for? If you Google "how to make money writing" You will be given search results in 0.14 seconds with 76,300,000 results. If that's not enough to confuse you, then I don't know what it would take.
Anyway, we chose eHow for our first venture in writing articles and plan to stick with it for a long time. So far after starting at the end of July we have made $23.76 and in September, already $1.00.
So this blog is going to be my marketing place, a place for ads and hopefully many more "easy money" ventures on the Internet. And I hope a place to share knowledge that I and others are willing to share with visitors who pass by.
